The distance between
gridlines is roughly 14-15 km, or about 9-10 miles.
Generally speaking,
any destination can be reached within a day's drive. However, we do recommend
you plan your route beforehand.
| For clarity and readability,
the gridlines are too far apart to give a high level of accuracy. However,
the small size of the country facilitates a good approximation of the distance
for most travelling purposes. |

How to
use this distance map
Find the start point
of your journey, and check it's corresponding grid reference. For example,
Galway City is at reference J20.
Next, get the grid
reference for your destination, say, Dublin, which is at about X19.
Finally, choose J20 and X19 from the form below, and click calculate. The
script will then return a rough approximation of the distance.
